Anchor 93 Feet East

VENUE OPERATIONS / PRODUCTION MANAGER

Being the main contact when it comes to production and running daily operations in a venue was a great challenge at first. 93 FEET EAST was arguably a places that made history within the live and electronic music industry in London, hosting in its early days Radiohead, Groove Armada and  the infamous Fuse residency. They went into a less successful path when gentrification took over the area but were finally getting back on track under a new creative management. Investing in a new concept while bringing a fresh team on board is when my role was newly created, I was given the responsibility to set up new dynamics and workflows for the technical staff, implement refurbs, and monitor all production activities while bringing back trust and care to the forefront of their operations.

NEW SOUND SYSTEM INSTALL

I had to plan and implement structures that would improve the space. This project was all about sound improvement in the hall room, which was clearly in need of a full revamp. A review had to be scheduled on testing various systems and set ups in order to decide how far we could go with the space, practically for the staff, acoustically and aesthetically for the punters and clients.

NEW DJ BOOTH DESIGN

This project was to plan and coordinate an upgrade for the DJ booth in the bar room. It had to look as pro, comfortable, and tidy as possible. This was the time to raise the bar allowing performers to give their best performance. Essentially it also need to be practical for our sound engineers to accommodate complex live sets ups and sensible vinyl decks.
